Yes it does see p. 53 of the Manual:

Star Wars Notebook Manual

You have to remove the bottom cover to access the slot but it can take a 2280 mm M.2 SATA disk module.

Hi,

In any case. I would like to recommend you to remove the back cover and doublecheck the M.2 slot before buying an mSSD in case you are planning to do replacement yourself.

Best Regards,

Alexey.

I'm also interested in this as well... I had a couple questions maybe that one can answer...

Can one use the M.2 slot to boot from? I want to load in a minimum 64GB module for windows boot, then use the existing HDD for storage and such

Second question, I see that it was mentioned that a 2280 module would work, but what "key" is it: A, B, E, or M?

**EDIT: or more to the point, if this product will work

The Manual clearly says there is one, although there is no good image of the slot. Can you take a picture of what you see when you open it?

We do not work for HP, except as specifically stated, and this Forum is not part of HP Support. At least one person did advise you open the back before you buy an M.2 drive, admittedly not me. By all accounts, the slot should be there.

I have the same problem. I cannot find the m.2 slot anywhere, and the manual does not depict where it is supposed to be located. If anyone has found it I would love to know.

Thanks!

If you can take a picture of the area around the  hard drive that would be helpful. Typically it would be adjacent to the hard drive.
