HP Spectre 13 x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The adhesive strips on my Spectre 13 x360 have fallen completely off. I've only had the computer about 4 months so I'm a little surprised. I was hoping to see if I can get new ones to apply, and if that is covered under warranty. So far the only solution I've seen is to buy and entirely new bottom plate for 70 bucks which is a little ridiculous in my opinion to solve such a straightforward issue. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

We need the full model to see if maybe we can find a part. I tinker with my laptops a a bit and had a Spectre on which I removed the rubber strips several times. The first few times there was enough residual glue on the strips to stick them back but after 3 or 4 attempts they would not stick any more. A small (very small) drop of rubber cement (not volatile airplane glue or Superglue which will melt the plastic) at each end and in the middle of the strip worked great and permitted a couple more removals and reapplications.

Depending on the model if the ones you have are no longer good you can purchase new ones from the HP parts store. (not cheap)

Example for the Spectre 13 ae000:

So, if you provide the exact model number or product number we can probably help to find new ones if they are sold.

Hope i thelps,

Take a pic, mail it to HP with your address and they should send you new ones without hesitation under the warranty.

No need for thumbs up or other farcical deeds.

The links take me ro the parts search, not the specific part. Would you happen to know the part number so i can search for it?

@Jacob24

If still under warranty, please contact HP and you have to SEND your machine back for replacement. Are you sure you did not open the case yourself ?
