My hp spectre won't turn on. It froze and turned off and no matter what I did refuses to turn on. The power button will be on for a few seconds and then turn off for a few seconds. I've tried multiple ways to boot it back up with key presses but all have failed. It's a barely a 2 year old laptop, I'm not really sure why it would stop working all of a sudden. Plugging it in had no effect either. Please help!!

Hello @James_44,
A specific model name or product number would be appreciated. E.g. HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0028ca or 5MT98UA#ABL
Information on how to find a laptop's model name or product number is detailed in this HP document. (Please do not post serial numbers on the HP Support Community. The difference between a product number and a serial number is that the product number contains a # sign)
If you look at the bottom of your laptop, you should be able to see some sort of identification.

Alright. Have you tried a hard reset yet?
- Turn off the laptop
- Remove all external peripherals and the AC adapter
- Hold down the power button for at least 30 seconds
- Attempt to turn on

Apologies for the late reply. Also sorry, I don't understand. Your initial post states that your computer will attempt to turn on then turn back off but is your latest response implying that the laptop is just stuck on a black screen?
Also, what key presses have you tried? Have you tried booting into HP UEFI Diagnostics? (F2)
I'd suggest scanning through this document for help and do let me know if you need help with anything.
