I have encountered the same problem as dozens of other customers. When my laptop could not hold a charge starting two days ago I thought the battery might be old so I bought a new one and replaced it. The battery light went from blinking white to a solid Orange. After reading other threads and wondering why I could not fix my problem I realized I needed to take a look inside the laptop. Just as dozens of others have stated I found a burnt hole in one of the stickers that HP uses to identify the capacitor. Sure enough my capacitor is fried and this is a potential safety fire hazard. I cannot believe this is happened to so many people and HP has not made a recall. I am the last one in my family to have HP products. HP if you can not help resolve this issue with me I will have no choice but to never buy your products again.

Sincerely,

Another trusting customer
