my Hp Spectre is still under warranty. I have been issued with a replacement power cable when it failed to charge, now this has stopped working no light on when plugged in to USB corner socket. I am at my wits end . any help appreciated . tried everything on the help pages

If still under warranty I have to recommend you go back there. Small chance your adapter has failed again or worst case the usb-C socket is bad and the motherboard needs replaced. Not much can be done with easy troubleshooting other than to have the AC adapter tested with a voltmeter or on another laptop.
