HP Spectre
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a lemon, In 2018 Best Buy told me that it was not only the hard drive I lost on my 13-month-old Spectre. But also the motherboard. You were gracious to take it but only repaired the hard drive. One year later my headphone jack and USB port went. When I called and asked you why you (HP) said that it would be $800 to fix the motherboard.  When I did my research because now the other USB-C port does not work - only the power plug! I can see that you knew this was a common issue and several people asked you to recall the motherboard. If you do not fix this for me I will be complaining to the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) that you knew these issues were common, and you did not completely repair. I am not going to spend  $800 to repair - I will replace and you better believe I am not going to buy another HP ever again. (And I always did).  I am distraught to have to lose so much information. I am now in a race to get everything moved over before the rest of it goes. It takes away from my work productivity to have to do this. By the way, your mousepad is way too big to maneuver cutting and pasting -  so I can only use my mouse when the laptop is not plugged in. The battery is two hours at best. I expected to have the computer grow old. To lose a hard drive and motherboard within less than 3 years of owning  is like losing two-parents to cancer at the same time. Highly unlikely odds. Shame on you HP. Take responsibility. I spent $1700.00 (on sale) for a lemon. Extremely distressing! I am on disability re-entering the workforce part-time- did not have that kind of money to waste!
