HP Spectre x360 13 Convertible PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All

We bought this HP Spectre x360 13 Convertible PC around June 2019 and for the last one month we are getting this problem that the charging does not work unless we clip the cable of the charger at a specific angle. We can't establish if it is a pin problem or a charger cable problem.

There is also a popup window some times saying that "Original charger shall be used ....". We did the hard-reset but it did not help.

As soon as the cable is stirred a bit then it stops charging. This was quite an expensive notebook and only 1.5 years old so I wonder if the charger connection would not be robust enough. Apparently, the pin of the charger does not go in completely but it was always like that. See the attached pictures.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you need to keep the charging cable at a certain angle for the battery to get charged.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

It looks like there is a loose connection in the DC port and I recommend you contact support and they will assist you in this regard.
