HP Spectre x360 2019 Edition 15-df0002na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I  purchased a HP Spectre x360 2019 Edition 15-df0002na just 18 days ago and upon plugging in the device to charge yesterday it began making a loud crackling noise, with smoke visibly emitting from the charging port and a strong burning smell. I immediately unplugged the device and left it until it had stopped. The device no longer charges nor powers on.

The device is still in warranty however I'm pretty disappointed that an expensive piece of equipment is prone to such a potentially dangerous fault. From reading the forums on here this issue has been reported several times usually as soon as the device is out of warranty. How can I trust that if I get a repair or replacement machine that the same fault will not develop 1 or 2 years down the line? This has completely destroyed my trust in HPs ability to deliver a premium product that is durable and safe.
