HP Spectre x360 13-aw0054na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am considering buying an eGPU however on researching the topic have come across some users having compatibility issues with the 2020 model of my laptop and the HP omen accelerator - are these two products compatible?

The HP website doesn't specifically list the aw0054na as being compatible with the omen accelerator.

I know my laptop has thunderbolt and that should enable it to work with the omen however there are numerous reports that the more modern 2020 version of the laptop which I have for some reason doesn't work with the omen eGPU. I don't want to outlay the extra money and then find out it won't work.

Is anyone able to confirm compatibility or recommend other alternative eGPU's that would work?

Its specs

It has 2 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C™ with Thunderbolt™ 3 ports which are compatible with HP Omen Accelerator which says Powerful Thunderbolt™ 3-certified USB-C™ connectivity delivers gaming power and charges your notebook from just one port. And with room for a hard drive or SDD, your games don't eat up valuable storage on your laptop.

HP Omen Accelerator should be compatible with all machines (notebooks, desktops)  which have Thunderbolt™ 3 port(s).

Regards.
