Hi, I want to optimize my PC.
It's very slow.
It comes with a 512GB Intel Optane H10 NVME SSD from the factory.
Will it improve if I put in an Intel Optane H20?
Or should I look for another faster NVME SSD from another brand? (But I don't know which one).

Here is the Service Manual:

The disk you have is already very fast storage. There is very little improvement to be gained from upgrading the SSD. The RAM is not upgradeable. You either have 8 gb or 16 gb and I suspect you have 8. The issue is likely in the software. I might recommend reinstallation of Windows but would run a full UEFI diagnostic suite of tests to be sure there is not a hardware issue.

Hi, it has 16gb of ram.
Win 11 is using 9gb of ram.

What good is optane on this computer?

HP Recommended

The Optane is a single module that has a storage cache in addition to the main storage for theoretically speeding things up. In your case I guess its not working well. If you had to replace the Optane module I would just opt for a  NVME M.2 SSD instead of the Optane but I still feel like the issue may be a corruption of Windows or possibly the Optane module has had some hardware problems come up.

And what "nvme m2 ssd" do you recommend?

HP Recommended

The M.2 port is PCIe Gen 3.0 not 4.0 so I would recommend a Samsung 980 like this one:

You will need to make a couple adjustments to disconnect the Optane cache before trying to clone the old SSD to the new. Post back if you need any help with that. You may just want to do a new clean installation of Windows onto the new drive to make sure you do not copy over any software issues.
