I'm having trouble using my touchpad when selecting/clicking and noticed my My HP Spectre x360 Convertible's touchpad is lifting from the inside and it's causing a slight gap opening away from the the bottom panel. I have not dropped/damaged it and I had it stationary on a table, for maybe a month, before noticing my touchpad.

Hi, @rochellechawes
The problem may also be happening due to the internal battery beginning to swell.
That is a potential problem if you leave the notebook plugged in to A/C power almost all of the time.
If that is the case, you will need to replace the battery.

Since the laptop is probably out of warranty since it's 3ish years old, I'm providing the Service Guide for your laptop here- http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06422405.pdf
It sounds like the touchpad has become loose, they snap in from the underside. If this is the case, you'll need to follow the steps in the service guide for removing the touchpad. I don't know what you'll need to remove to get to it, maybe just open it and remove the battery, and then hopefully you can push the touchpad up from the bottom so it can snap back in place.
If you need more help, just reply back here and we'll help.
