Hi,
I'm thinking to upgrade my HP Spectre x360 SSD drive to Samsung 960 EVO M.2.
Just want to make sure that it will fit and will go smooth without any special problems.
Thanks.

The Manual kind of casually says it will support PCIe (Aka NVME) M.2 drives but of the service parts listed in the manual all are M.2 SATA disks. This is the 512 gig:
801504-001
So that is a SATA B + M module and the Evo 960 M.2 looks like this:
See the difference in the gold leads that plug into the motherboard (keys)...Yours is a 5th gen Intel Core platform and most of the laptops that will run PCIe M.2 disks are 6th and 7th generation so I say you likely will not be able to use the Samsung 960 Evo.
