HP Spectre x360 13-4096nf (Part Number M7W08EA)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello Everyone,

Recently my HP spectre turned off by himself and didn't power on for about a day. I've been able to power it one time, since then impossible.
I can smell a burn, I have decided to open the bottom and I discovered that a capacitor wasn't in a good shape. I have contacted HP, since it is out of warranty they don't really want to help me with this and as the support said my laptop is absolete 😉 Well he has 3 years and it is the first time something like that happens to me. So HP laptop can last 3 years top ? It's a joke.

Anyway I want to replace the motherboard (Part 801505-501) with a new one. Does anyone know if I can instead replace the motherboard with one from another Spectre 13 model ? If for example I find one cheaper than my original one.

Thank you everyone !
Tom
