HP Thunderbolt Dock 120W G4
Microsoft Windows 11

Hallo all,

When connecting the dock to a non-HP laptop's TB4 port, nothing comes out from the dock!

BG:  Just bought that dock G4 (4J0A2AA) thinking it will work with the new laptop Lenovo Yoga 7i Pro which has 1 USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (PD 3.0/ DP1.4) and another USB-C port which is Thunderbolt 4. When connecting it to TB4 port, the laptop complains that the wattage from the dock (should be 100W via PD 3.0) is lower than it's charger power (140W). This also means the laptop has connection to the dock. However, after the laptop set to project on the external monitor, via DP or HDMI of the dock, the monitor does not receive any signal. Furthermore, the laptop does not see any USB device connected to the dock, it does not receive any internet from the supposed LAN to (connected from the dock to router/repeater).

In summary, it does not communicate any data, except the power signal.

Tried to update the firmware from HP for that dock, it rans but without any message output if this update is succesful or not, and no further success as well.

Have anyone had similar experience to share?

Thanks
