HP TouchSmart 520-1012ci Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I am using and older HP Touchsmart 520-1012ci Desktop PC and I cannot get USB 3.0 ports work. USB Ports 2.0 working fine.

I have already tried everything - reinstall AMD driver, Intel chipset etc. I cannot find any USB 3.0 drivers for windows 10. Could you please help me to get them work?

Is there any solution for this issue?

Thank you very much.

Hi@Teonanacatl,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing USB 3.0 issues with the HP TouchSmart 520-1012ci Desktop PC.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Try doing Reset PC Keep my files from windows and check if it works fine.

If the issue persists then it could be a hardware issue on the USB ports.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
