I have recently purchased a HP USB-C G5 docking station along with HP V27i G5 monitor and conference speaker and wireless keyboard and mouse to go link up to my HP Laptop 15-fc0017na (8B4U2EA). The speaker, mouse and keyboard all work ok but the monitor is not recognised. I have updated drivers and the firmware for the docking station. If I plug the HDMI cable from the monitor into the laptop the monitor works. Are the laptop, dock and display all compatible with each other. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The issue is that the laptop does not have a USB-C port compatible with DisplayPort so cannot view video on an external monitor.
External I/O Ports | 1 USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (supports data transfer only and does not support charging or external monitors); 2 USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate; 1 AC smart pin; 1 HDMI 1.4b; 1 headphone/microphone combo |
