I am installing rdr2 and unpacking the files. CPU is at 100% most of the time. CPU is also stuck at 101 °C from several minutes. It goes from 97° to 101°. I have this HP Victus 16" from almost one month, but this temperature worries me. According to https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/tech-takes/how-to-check-cpu-temperature temperatures over 90 °C are not safe. Is this ok for my laptop? What should I do?

I'm having trouble updating the BIOS. I've tried running the .exe file multiple times, disabling Windows Defender, and rebooting in safe mode, but no luck. When I try to run the file, I get the same results as this user in this post (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/HP-BIOS-System-Utility-not-open...😞 the setup starts, extracts the file "C:\SWSetup\SP142549\088EBF15.EXE", and then nothing happens. I've tried rebooting, but the issue persists. Is there any other way to load the new BIOS, such as via USB? I'm really hoping to get this resolved and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I tried downloading and running the tool you recommended, but it's not working. I've tried it a few times and even waited for about 10 minutes, but the tool gets stuck and I never see the screen to update the BIOS. I've attached a video to show you what's happening in my HP Victus. Thank you for your help!

Hello @bortox

Please use another Windows 10 computer to create <USB flash drive>.

I updated the BIOS. I took three days to do this because I don't have a computer with Windows 10 at home, so I asked a friend of mine who had a computer with Windows 10 to run the program.

The update was successful, I did not experience any problems, but in multiple tests after the BIOS Update the CPU temperatures are still around 100 degrees celsius.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or advice on how to address this high temperature issue. Thank you.

Hello @bortox

A simple long-term workaround to protect the CPU ...
