Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-r0000 (76T01AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

To be clear on this my HP gaming laptop model PC 16-r0000 does not have two M2 SSD slots. There is just one with 1TB WD M2 SSD, I did not check this and bought a second 2TB M2 SSD to upgrade it. My other Victus with 3050Ti card did have two slots. This was a huge letdown by HP, I was always happy with my HP products but this feeling does seem to vanish with every HP product that I buy. Question is Will my next PC be a HP product?

Also on the SAME series ?  The manual does NOT mention the 16-r0000 series to support DUAL storage. It only says

Primary storage: PCIe®, NVMe®, M.2 2280 solid-state drives

1 TB, PCIe-4 × 4, TLC or 512 GB, PCIe-4 × 4, TLC

That implies it would have Secondary storage at a later date.

HP does not fully explain in some model series which ones come with one or two NVMe SSD's.

In the 16-r0000 model series, the ones that come with the Intel 'HX' processors have two NVMe slots, and the ones that come with the Intel 'H' processors such as your notebook, only have one.

You have to read beyond chapter 1 of the service manual to see the illustration in chapter 5, page 34 that that this model series can come with support for two M.2 SSD's.

I suggest that in the future, no matter what manufacturer you buy a gaming notebook from that you do some in depth research and not make assumptions, because it is complicated.
