Good evening,
I've read some posts but would like more specific advice.
I have a Z820 workstation, if I'm not mistaken it has 3 6pin power cables (G1, G2 and G3 - photo below)
I would like to get an RTX 4070 which requires 2 8pin ports (8+8).
It absorbs approximately 206 W.
3 of 6 pins would be = 75W x 3 = 225W.
QUESTION: I would be fine and safe if I used the adapters:
from 6pin to 8pin (I have the original HP one which costs a fortune)
from 6pin+6pin to 8pin (I should buy it).
If your opinion was favorable, would you say that this would be of quality in your opinion? CONNECTION
I currently have an RTX2070 super (8pin + 6pin)
