Microsoft Windows 11

Hello all,

running a newly installed HP ZBook Fury 15 G7 with a Thunderbolt Dock G2 - after upgrading OS, Drivers and all BIOS to the latest version most is working fine as expercted.

I am struggling with the Thunderbolt G2 power management - I have an external backup disk drive attached via USB A which does not shut down after shutting down the laptop - until I briefly disconnect the dDock from the Laptop for a second it spins down and stays down. I have the laptop bios set to power down USB at shutdown, I also tried the power settings in the device manager yet without success. Iknow that the docked has a thermal control and fan is running independently of the laptop but the main question for me is how I can shut down the usb ports when shutting down the laptop to avoid keeping the disk running endlessly. Any suggestions or ideas? Would a G4 or USB-C dock solve the problem. Any further hint is greatly appreciated!
