HP envy hinge popping

I just brought a HP envy recently and have not been using it heavily however my Envy is now making a subtle pop/cracking noise every time I open the lid only on the left side; It's not broken yet, there's no evidence of a physical crack, and the screen is not coming apart like other people have posted here, but this crackling sound isn't normal- this is probably the first sign that the hinges will quit in a few months and I’m not sure what I should do
