Yes you can.

Your Service Manual

Start on p. 38 to remove the back cover and inside you see this:

M.2 SSD slot circled in redM.2 SSD slot circled in red

Your laptop currently has a 2 TB 5400 rpm mechanical hard drive...big and slow. You can place a PCie/NVME M.2 gumstick SSD in the slot circled in red in the picture above. Yes you can move Windows to the SSD and enjoy major performance improvement. You need something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-500GB-Solid-State-Drive/dp/B07CGGP7SV/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=970+Evo+M.2...

You want to open the laptop before buying the SSD so you can see if a mounting screw has been provided. If not you need one of those.

Post back so we can discuss reinstalling Windows onto the SSD as we need to figure out the best way for you given your skills and equipment available. It's not difficult but there are many ways to do it.

You need an external usb to SATA adapter and you can use Macrium Reflect Free which is an excellent but somehow free cloning app. Instructions on their website are very clear and easy to follow.
