Hello!
I have laptop HP EliteBook Folio G1, in six months, it has happened to me several times that laptop did not want to turn on. This usually happens when it runs out of battery, but it has also happened on a normal shutdown.
I solve the issue with hard reset, so I reinstalled the battery and it works again for some time.
Does anyone have an answer for this issue, why is this happening? Is it issue with motherbaord or battery or anything else? Or when turned off laptop does not turn off properly and does not release the circuit on the motherboard from electrcity and make some kind of short circuit ...? Because, to solve this, I need to open laptop enerytime and it is stratting to get in my nerves.
This happens not only for HP laptops, but with all brands. With some more often, and with some not at all.
Best regards,
Thanks for help

What does "so I reinstalled the battery and it works again for some time." mean?
Is that the original battery or a replacement?
How about explaining the following statement
"Or when turned off laptop does not turn off properly and does not release the circuit on the motherboard from electrcity and make some kind of short circuit ...? Because, to solve this, I need to open laptop enerytime."
Try explaining it again, because that statement is not specific enough to be easily understood.

As I said - to solve this problem I need to open the laptop and reinstall the battery, the current battery that is installed (original) to perform hard reset
How about explaining the following statement
"Or when turned off laptop does not turn off properly and does not release the circuit on the motherboard from electrcity and make some kind of short circuit ...? Because, to solve this, I need to open laptop enerytime."
That is just my prediction what is causing this issue
In this topic I am looking for answer with solution what it is causing this problem. Which component is causing that, if anyone of you have any experiences with that? Is it possible to fix it once and for all?
I know some people that have other brands of laptops and have same issue.
Best regards
Thanks

I think you mean that you disconnected the battery, held down the power button to reset the BIOS and reconnected the battery.
Is that what you did and were trying to explain?
Have you run the Windows Battery Report utility to see the actual condition and number of cycles the battery has gone through?

Exactly.
Have you run the Windows Battery Report utility to see the actual condition and number of cycles the battery has gone through?
At the service, the battery was connected to a tester which showed no issuses with battery, except for large number of cycles, passed all tests:
- charging/discharging OK
- temp. (25 C) OK
- health = 93 %
- cycle count = 232
- cells in good condition
Seems OK to me. Should I change the battery anyway?

The parts of the battery report that you should share are:
Cycle Count
Design capacity in mWh
Full charge capacity in mWh
Yes.
I would change the battery.
