Hi @nastor5,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

Sorry for the inconvenience caused and don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Did the lights stop working suddenly, or after a software update/driver installation?
  • Are you using the keyboard on a desktop or a laptop?
  • Have you noticed if the lights briefly flash when the system starts up, or are they completely off at all times?

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try in the meantime:

  1. Check Omen Gaming Hub
    • Make sure the Gaming Hub is fully updated. Sometimes reinstalling it can refresh the lighting control service.
    • Confirm that the keyboard is detected under the “Lighting” or “Devices” section.
  2. Update Drivers and Firmware
    • Go to HP Support and download the latest drivers/firmware for your Omen Encoder keyboard.
    • Install any chipset or peripheral updates for your system as well.
  3. USB Port and Connection
    • Try plugging the keyboard into a different USB port (preferably a USB 3.0 port).
    • If possible, test it on another computer to see if the lighting works there.
  4. Reset the Keyboard
    • Disconnect the keyboard, wait 30 seconds, then reconnect.
    • Some users find that holding down certain keys (like Fn + Esc) while reconnecting can reset lighting, though this varies by model.
  5. Windows Settings
  • Ensure that “Keyboard Lighting” isn’t disabled in Windows Mobility Center or power settings.

I hope this helps.
