Pavilion dv7-3111ea

Hi.

I would like to upgrade my dv7-3111ea (product WC159EA#ABU) with new processor.

And my questions is if this laptop can handle i7? I found one thread for similar computer which status that i can fit  i7.  If yes, which one, and before upgrade should i update BIOS?

Yes, it is a good idea to update its BIOS using Software, Drivers and Firmware on same link above.
