Good afternoon!
I want to upgrade my laptop wifi adapter, since the one that is installed from the factory supports only a/b/g wi-fi standard.

I know about the "white list" of supported devices, but I do not have the opportunity to read it for my laptop model, I do not have this list.

Please, I ask to send a link for downloading this "white list" for my laptop model or to write several models of wi-fi adapters (which support IEEE 802.11n standard, better IEEE 802.11ac standard) that will work without any problems (including HP numbers).

My BIOS version F.16 dated 22/01/2010.

Thanks in advance

The actual whitelist is not a thing HP ever published. Essentially it means you can only use the wireless adapters that are listed in the Service Manual. That effectively locked this laptop in to wireless adapters current with the laptop and prevents upgrading to anything you might really want to have. BIOS version makes no difference. All versions of the BIOS have the whitelist. Consider this the gift that keeps on giving from HP and essentialy means if you want modern wireless you have to buy a new laptop. Sorry to be so blunt. I do not work for HP. I have expended a lot of effort over the years arguing against the whitelist. In 2013 HP abruptly dropped it. The law did not change; HP just started to understand it differently, apparently. There was no effort to help the legacy customers affected by the whitelist issues. You are just left out there hanging. Sorry.

Dear Huffer,

thanks for your support. Maybe you can send me the Service Manual for my laptop model with list of supported wireless adapters? Maybe I can find a more efficient adapter there.
