Hi,
I Have problem with Charging my laptop,
My laptop input specification is 19.5V - 2.31A
When I pluged in my laptop while its turn on, it won't charge, the baterry indicator just froze, it just sustain my battery from depleting further. But when its pluged in while its off it charged up to full. I use the original HP charging adaptor (included when i bought my laptop) 19.5V - 2.31A - 45W
When I tried to use another charging adaptor 19.5V - 3.33A - 65W (HP Pavilion's charging adaptor) it can Charge to full while it turn on.
My laptop is 3 months old
My Question are:
1. Why is my original adaptor can't charge my laptop while its on?
2. If i have to get another charging adaptor, should i get the same type (19.5V - 2.31A - 45W) or the other type (19.5V - 3.33A - 65W)?
3. Is there any side effects if i use 19.5V - 3.33A - 65W charging adaptor for my laptop?
Thank You

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand that Ac adapter not charging the battery.
This sounds like hardware related issue with the Ac adapter as you checked with alternate charger.
