Hello,
I have just bought a "4EC37EA : HP Pavilion x360 - 15-cr0001nb" and I am in search for a 1 cable (USB-C from laptop) solution to connect the 2-in-1 to a USB-C-dock that will allow similtaneuously to
- Power the laptop (which uses a 65 Watt power adapter)
- Connect a 34 inch 3440x1440 60 Hz monitor via displayport or HDMI.
- Connect at least 2 USB-A devices
- has a 1 GBit Ethernet port (nice to have)
On paper "3FF69AA : HP USB-C dock G4" seems to fit these requirements, but will it fully work with this model ?
Is this the recommended USB-C dock for my machine or are there others ?
Many thanks,

Hello @TheRealOrac,
I wish to recommend you some USB-C hubs but the problem is that these new Pavilion laptops with multi-functional USB-C ports have some discrepancies in the specifications documents and a user pointed out that a USB-C to DP adapter did not work. Furthermore, HP only currently recommends a USB-C to USB-A adapter which is a bit suspicious because that implies that only data transfer is possible.
You can go ahead and try a USB-C hub for display output and such but I cannot be certain (yet) as to what the real specs are. I'll update you if I get any more info.
Kind regards,
Eddy

If one purchases a consumer mainstream notebook, as you have, there will not be very many connectivity options available.
A commercial grade or Enterprise notebook will give you acess to USB-C docks for a notebook that actually ticks off more of the boxes in your requirements list.
The only USB type-C dock that is published as being compatible with your Pavilion x360 notebook is the Y0K80AA — HP USB-C Dock. It fills all of your requirements as far as I can tell.
The YOK80AA dock's specifications are in the attached PDFdocument.
The "3FF69AA : HP USB-C dock G4" that you have referred to is not marketed by HP as being compatible with the Pavilion notebook that you purchased.

Hello
I have almost same question. It seems that all HP dockning station are only Elite type and HP didn't develop a powerful USB-C dockingstation comapatible with Pavilion gaming laptops and for 50 Hz.
I am looking to find a plugable USB-C dockning station for my new computer HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk0914no with 15,6" (which seems to be a version HP created for European region).
Product nr: 6WD68EA. It has: 16Gb RAM , 512 Gb SSD
External ports: 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C™ (10 Gb/s signaling rate, Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and
Charge); 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (HP Sleep and Charge); 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (Data Transfer Only); 1HDMI; 1 AC smart pin; 1 RJ-45; 1 headphone/microphone combo
Power supply type: 200 W AC power adapter
Battery type: 3-cell, 52.5 Wh Li-ion polymer
I would like to find a compatible dockning station which can supply enough power for the laptop and which has a power supply button for starting the laptop in order to skip to open the lid every time . I need enough ports to connect the laptop and all the cables through it (monitor, internet , printer etc) including an USB-C port for power supply 50Hz, 220Vac.
Any advice from HP experts?
Regards

The HP ENVY USB-C Hub with HP product number 5LX63AA is compatible with your HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk0914no notebook.
The specifications are at the document in the link below this line.
Amazon.com has the best price. I live in the Netherlands and generally use Amazon.de.

Dear Sir
thank you for your answer but I am afraid is not what I need.
Your proposed dock station HP ENVY USB-C Hub does not have a button to START the laptop and does not have a cable connection for power supply at 220 ac 50 Hz. It seems that is connected to laptop which needs to be plugged in at 220 ac otherwise the battery is out in the next two hours.
