HP 15 NOTEBOOK
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After installing Windows 10, using HP Support Assistant Update; The first two steps complete. Connecting and downloading updates, but the third step never completes and after awhile it stops and the  three next steps have an x next to them. When I open HP Support Assistant it still says I have never checked for updates. Any ideas?

Hi,

Uninstall HP support assistant software already present in your system using control panel.

Then install this: http://www8.hp.com/in/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html

Check updates again.

I would also like to advice you not to do any BIOS updates through HP support assistant software.

Hi,

Youre welcome!

Please take note what @visruth mentioned about NOT UPDATING THE BIOS from HP Support Assistant..

Cheers
