My laptop PC won't start up. After running the diagnostics test, I get the message that says:

Can anyone help me decipher this?

After you replace the hard drive, you can reinstall W10 for free by making bootable installation media using the media creation tool at the link below.

Ok, so the laptop actually booted up once I tried again. Do you think it's safe to transfer files to an external hard drive after receiving an error like this? The operating system is working right now, but a bit slow.

Yes, I would definitely try and copy and files you want to save onto a portable hard drive while the HDD is still alive.

It's just a matter of time when it completely dies on you.
