i recently got a used computer that will not start. Ran diagnostics everything looks ok except for hard drive error. The error is: PG92LW=8T1AJF-XD7UQK-60UV03. Can anyone tell me what this is?

That error code means your disk drive is failing and needs to be replaced.

You will need to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

You may want to consider replacing the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing solid state drive (SSD).

 

I also believe that your notebook has a M.2 slot and that slot supports SATA M.2 SSD's so that is another drive option for you.

 

After you replace the drive (either way), you can use another Windows PC running W7 64 bit or newer to create a bootable USB recovery drive with the HP cloud recovery tool that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
