Hello,
System is very sluggish and hard drive usage is at 100% most of the time in task manager.
Ran the diagnostic and have the following failure code.
6CQ840-96DAT1-XD7W21-618103.
Is this drive about to fail?

Sadly to say: Most of the time the 24 char disk failure id indicates the HDD is failing and it needs to be replaced.. Is it still under warranty ? If NOT, you have to replace yourself then rebuild your machine.
For (original) Windows 10. Please use

Regards.

Hard drive gone bad?
Now is a good time to install a SSD drive, you will get a huge speed increase with a SSD drive.
There are many SSD drives to choose from, browse Amazon and find something you like.

You can also go to the Microsoft website to download Windows 10, or windows 11 if your PC supports it. Download the media creation tool and run it, you can then download the ISO or for a USB drive.
