If you want to be 100% sure
Create <USB flash drive> type 2.0 and 3.0 for Solution A
Create <USB flash drive> type 2.0 and 3.0 for Solution B
So you will have a least 4 <USB flash drives> in your hand...

Hello Again,
I’ve been stuck at the “Search for and Download the HP Recovery Tool from the Microsoft store, because no matter where I click, I can’t find an option to Download. My second computer is a Mac. Is that why?
I feel so stupid! Why can’t I find it? I’ve inserted the USB.

Use another Windows computer. Ask a friend/neighbor/acquaintance for help

Hello once again,
I thought I followed all the steps but but can not get the computer to boot. I’m going to guess this means I didn’t install the new hard drive correctly.
