Hard Drive Short DST Failure Message

My laptop is 7 1/2 years old with the following specs:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.20 GHz
Installed RAM 12.0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch Touch support with 10 touch points

After running the HP diagnostic, I have received the error message that my "Hard Drive Short DST Check: Failed". I have experienced a lot of problems running the only program I run on this laptop which is Quicken. Does this error message mean I have a Hard Drive that will need to be replaced soon or is there something else that can be done?
