I have a error on my daughter's laptop which states......
SMART Hard Disk Error.
The SMART Hard Disk check has detected a imminent failure.
HARD disk 1 (301)
Anyone any ideas please?

The hard drive needs to be replaced. We need you to identify the model of the laptop for any further instructions or help. Are you under warranty? On many models it is an easy removal and replacement and replacement hard drives are not terribly expensive...under $60US. Other models it is not so easy.
Be alert for scammers posting fake support phone numbers and/or email addresses on the community.
