I just bought a hp notebook

This one has only 256GB ssd

When i ask the seller before buying, they told me to you can upgrade your storage anytime, this notebook has a space for hdd

  • And i have a 320GB hard drive gb

Now i want to add a hdd to my notebook

But when i bring the laptop to the hp service center and open the laptop they told me there is a space for hdd but it hasn't got SATA connector CABLE and the hhd case.

Hp representative told we don't have stock of the connector cable and the case

How can i find the correct parts?

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook's model series.

Chapter 1 shows no support for a 2.5" drive, so whoever told you that was mistaken.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06510442

There are no parts available to add a 2.5" drive or they would have been listed in chapter 3.

The series does NOT support dual storage therefore no available parts for 2.5" drive.  Its manual

I did post few times: Many HP machines now do not have 2.5" drive options, like some other vendors.

>>> When i ask the seller before buying, they told me to you can upgrade your storage anytime,

They may not know full specs

Please ask them to order part for you.

I did say other vendors. I've got 6 machines w/o normal 2.5" drive right now, they are not up gradable: 2 MS Surface machines, 2 Dell machines, 1 HP machine and 1 Mac machine.
