Hello I have product ID J8X13UA#ABA I just updated to windows 10.
I tried running a test because for the last few years if I shutdown the laptop and restarted it took over an 1hr for me to be able to do any work because it was loading. Since updating to windows 10 I had gotten this error.
Failure ID PU5WMH-77RBG5-MFPV7F-60WK03. Can someone please tell me what is happening and if this can be corrected.
I would love to have a smooth operating computer.
Thank you

Hi:
The error cord you posted reports a Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure, which means that you will need to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
HP 15 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide
You may want to consider replacing the 500 GB 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing 500 GB 2.5" solid state drive (SSD).
After you replace the drive, you can reinstall W10 for free by making a bootable W10 installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below. You will need another PC running Windows 64 bit.
Make the 64-bit installation media.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
Boot from the installation media and when you get past the Install Now screen select the version of Windows you had upgraded to (10 Home).
Then you will be asked to enter a product key.
Select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install.
After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

Yes, if you replace the hard drive and reinstall the operating system, your PC should work fine and if you get a solid state drive, it will work better than new.
If you want to try and recover data from the failed drive, after you remove it, you can buy a SATA to USB cable.
Plug one end into the drive and the other end into a working PC's USB port and see if you can read/copy any data from the failed hard drive to the PC.
