Hi, I bought a second hand HP PAVILION 14-BK070SA, on opening it up there was no sata had drive and the connector had been removed, I tried to replace it from ebay but the one I got looked and fitted my laptop but on contacting the seller on ebay they said that I would have to get the correct part number to get the one that does the job - if anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it.

Hi:
The product specs for your model indicate that it did not come with a 2.5" drive from HP, only a 128 GB M.2 SATA SSD.

That is why the parts for the 2.5" drive are not there.
Wouldn't be easier and cheaper to just get a larger capacity M.2 SATA SSD, and use the HP cloud recovery tool to install the original W10, drivers and software that came with the PC?

That will give you the space you need, and not waste battery power by adding another power consuming device.
In any event...to answer your question...below is the link to the service manual for your notebook's model series.

Chapter 3, page 18, item 2 are the parts, and part numbers you need to add a 2.5" drive.

Hard drive connector/cable (not illustrated) 927917-001

Hi Paul, Thanks for your answer and it seems strange that the primary drive for this laptop is not a sata hdd but I fitted it with an M.2 256gb drive - just wanted the extra option of putting a large ( 1TB ) drive in to compliment the primary drive to save files on - If I cant find the connector that I am after I will just keep the M.2 drive in it - it is up for sale soon anyways - thanks again
