Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My laptop shows a message that there's an error in the Hard drive.

I ran a system diagnostics as instructed in https://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/c01443502 and the result was "Hard Drive SMART Check: FAILED". Please see screenshot below.

How do I repair this?

Please help.

Thanks,

Romeo

@Romeo29, welcome to the forum.

The only way to repair this problem is to replace the hard drive.  If the computer is still booting, I suggest that you make a backup of your personal data before it fails completely.  You should buy a drive the same size or larger to assure that the Recovery media will work properly.

You are welcome, @Romeo29.

If you want to increase system performance considerably, you should consider buying a SSD.  They are a bit more money, but well worth it.  If you decide to go with a SSD I will be glad to help you with the installation.
