Hello
what exactly were you told to do?
the computer is under warranty or not?
before disassembling the computer, if it is guaranteed, it must be in agreement with HP, you can not return an item like that!
You have a m2 ssd type disk, so it is directly on the motherboard normally

It's rather curious ..
normally, for having already done it but in France
You have to do a procedure, and if the system disk is hs, you can ask hp to just send the disk back.
But you have to return the failed disk to them, otherwise, it 's too easy, you can duplicate what you want!
If amazon takes over the computer, they'll probably have it fixed by HP, but it's not up to the user anyway.
"get rid" of parts, it must not be thrown into nature

another thing, if you like the computer trying to take it apart, you may have extra charge
the hard drive is out of order, send it all back frankly the best thing to do

Promethee, just so you know, If the customer is in America it is a violation of the law for HP to refuse to cover a product under warranty just because the customer has opened/tried to repair the product themselves. HP and all electronics manufacturers try to say it voids the warranty and will try to not cover the product, but there are several legal cases someone can cite and also many pieces of legislation on warranties and manufacturers obligation to cover the product no matter what. Warranty Void if Removed stickers are a Gimmick and do not actually void a warranty.

I just had to have my Omen 15 sent in because of overheating issues. They covered the repair and I had replaced the RAM, swapped the HDD for an SSD, and had replaced the thermal compound at least 3 times. First thing I do when I get a new laptop is take it apart and replace the thermal compound. I continue to replace it every 6 months when I do a deep clean of the internals (removing dust, inspecting for heat damage, changing thermal paste, and reseating the cooling solution)

Yes, but it depends ..
If there is no problem, as in France, if nothing is damaged!
I do not know if I specified it correctly here, but if the user damages the computer, then yes, it seems normal that we do not apply the guarantee, for what has been damaged by the user.
You have this link

HP PCs - Damage Not Covered by the HP Standard Limited Warranty | HP® Customer Support

But for the fact of voiding the warranty if the label is removed
besides, it seems to me that this system did not last
we talked about it on the French forum, and I also indicated that it did not have to be the user can indeed change add something, but it is not necessary to break during the manipulation
