Can anyone tell me how much max ram can I use in my laptop.

And can I replace hdd with an ssd?

1. RAM: It has   4 GB DDR3L-1600 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB) now and it supports 16GB max. You can upgrade to

 

(a)  8GB: simply add 4GB to slot 2 using compatible RAM, for example

                 https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr3/ct51264bf160bj/ct10453776

(b) 12GB: simply add 8GB to slot 2 using compatible RAM, for example

(c) 16GB: install 8GB each to both slots using compatible RAM, for example

2. SSD: Yes, you can use standard 2.5" SSD's for your machine. It has 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA now, you can use 2.5" SSD's from Crucial, Samsung, SanDisk .... and many others.

I am kind of confused.

In hp service and guide manual it says it only supports maximum of 8gb memory with 4×2 config.

Can you confirm it with hp experts?

What is the maximum ram supported on hp 15-ac120tx product (98M23PA)
