@Nqobile97, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP 15-ra0xx laptop is unable to start up and you're advised to visit the HP technical center for diagnostics, here are some preliminary steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
Confirm Power Supply:
- Make sure your laptop is properly connected to a power source.
- Ensure that the power adapter and power cable are functioning correctly.
- Look for any signs of damage on the power components.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery and the power adapter, then try starting your laptop again.
Use HP Diagnostics:
- Reboot your laptop and repeatedly press the F2 key to access the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Run the "System Tests" to check for any hardware issues.
- If you identify any specific error codes during the test, note them down for further assistance.
Safe Mode Boot:
- Attempt to boot your laptop in Safe Mode by restarting and pressing the F8 key before Windows starts.
- See if the laptop starts in this mode, which could help diagnose software issues.
BIOS Reset:
- Restart your laptop and press F10 to enter the BIOS setup.
- Once in the BIOS, reset it to default settings.
- Save changes and exit to check if the problem is resolved.
I hope this helps.
