Hello, experts & community
id tried to google my laptop's External Ports in more details, in order to wing it myself before choosing an ext Monitor but i found insufficient information
What are my Ext Ports detailed info? Would anyone please kindly share the related particular online Document of my unit?
im planning to choose regular 1080p FHD 24-25" ext Monitor. So how high of Refresh Rate (Hz) that is compatible with my unit's spec, limitations and workarounds with the ports? and which prerequisite external cable(s) spec to buy?
Thank you very much in advance to the experts & the HP community

Your machine should have same ports as mine. Please use the following manual
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06219881.pdf
I'm using the miniDP port at the rear to connect to an external monitor but you can use HDMI port (next to miniDP port) to connect to an external monitor.
As you know resolution goes up, refresh rate will go down and vice versa therefore generally you can get 1920x1080 @ 120Hz for each port.
Regards.
