Hi:
Unfortunately, there is no such thing.
HP has assigned the service manual for the older 15s-ef0xxx model series on your notebook's support page.
HP 15-e1000 Laptop PC IDS Base Model - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support
Your notebook's specific model number is a15-ef1183od.
HP Laptop 15-ef1183od Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support
Is there something you wanted to know that the service manual on your notebook's support page can't help you with?

Hi there Paul, I was hoping to see compatible wifi cards.
I've tried a variety of cards from different brands, and none of them work.
The original RTL8852AE has had many issues in this notebook, very unstable and constantly failing to connect, and ordering a replacement RTL8852AE, HP part number # M34025-001 had no effect. The device was recognized, but still had issues.
I've tried using an RTL8822CE, HP part number # L44796-005 , but it also did not like to cooperate.
I've tried the intel AX200, listed in the old service manual too.
HP Wireless Cards:
Intel 7265NGW, HP part number # 793840-005
Intel AX200, HP part number # L35282-005
Intel AX210, HP part number # M27269-005
Non HP Wireless Cards:
Broadcom BCM94360NG
Broadcom BCM94352Z
Intel BE200
Intel AC8265
Qualcomm Atheros QCNFA344A
I have checked all the solder pins on the outside of the M.2 A+E key WLAN slot.
They are all fine.
The inside of the M.2 slot is also fine.
This is not a driver issue, because none of these cards show up in the PCIE bus for the WLAN slot, only the RTL8852AE and 8822CE appear.
I have many other older HP laptops running on BIOS F.71 Rev A, and all these cards were recognized fine.
This certain laptop is running BIOS F.32 Rev A.
Could the BIOS be causing this?

Hi there Paul:
I was hoping to see what compatible WIFI cards there were.
The original card, a RTL8852AE, HP part # M34023-001 was constantly unreliable. Ordering a new one had the same issues.
I tried a RTL8822CE, and it was recognized, but was also unreliable, not just on my home network, but out in public.
I've tried many other wifi cards too.
HP Cards:
Intel AX200, HP #L35282-005
Intel AX210, HP #M27269-005
Intel AC7265, HP #793840-005
Non HP Wifi Cards:
Broadcom BCM94360NG
Broadcom BCM94352Z
Intel BE200
Intel AC8265
Intel AC9260
Qualcom Atheros QCNFA344A
None of these cards show up in the PCIe x1 bus, only the RTL cards do.
I have inspected the m.2 connector, all pins are soldered on fine, and there is no damage.
I have also tried new antennas, no effect.
I have tested all these wifi cards on 3 older HP laptops, running BIOS F.71 Rev A with no issues.
This particular laptop is running F.32 Rev A
Would the BIOS be the cause of this?

Hi:
Yes, it must be a BIOS restriction thing, since you have tried all those different model Wi-Fi cards.
Had you not tried any, the first one I would have recommended you try would have been the Intel AX200 non-vPro which was what you already tried.
The AX210 had a 25% chance of working--maybe less.
There are two other cards you can try that you haven't tried yet...
MediaTek MT7921 M74879-005. That is Mediatek's 2 x 2 Wi-Fi 6 card used in several model HP notebooks.
There is also the better Realtek 2 x 2 version of the lousy RTL 1 x 2 card HP installed in your notebook you may want to try:
Realtek 8852BE Wi-Fi 6 Bluetooth 5.2 WLAN M91238-005
Maybe you would want to try the RTL8852BE first since it is a Realtek card and all the other RTL cards you tried at least worked.
FWIW, here is the link to the latest Realtek Wi-Fi driver HP has for all of the dual band Realtek cards:
This driver has a HP release date of Sep 22, 2023.

Darn, I was hoping HP got past their wlan whitelist phase.
I'll try the Realtek card you posted, I probably won't try Mediatek, as if intel didn't work there's almost no chance Mediatek would work.
Thanks, I'll post the results here when i get it.

You're very welcome.
They pretty much have, but there are a few models that won't support many different Wi-Fi cards, and I guess yours is one of them.
Did you try the driver I posted for your RTL8852AE card?
The Windows update catalog also has this version:
6001.10.354.300 9/19/2023
Further down the list they also have 6001.10.355.1 8/22/2023

Hi. I did try the driver you posted, but it didn't have any effect. I updated all the drivers before, and it did not make any difference.
I don' t get what changed for this model, same board design, but older models could use all the wifi cards I listed, this one only recognizes Realtek.
My EF -0xxx models with an AMD Ryzen 3200U, AMD Ryzen 7 3700U all recognize these cards.
