Hi, resorted to posting here as there seems to be no way of contacting HP to speak with a tech support agent or sales agent.
can anyone help?
I'm looking into buying a laptop for my son model number 15-db0032na (4AS21EA) but would like to know maximum upgradable ram capacity before I do.
crucial website states 32gb but not to exceed manufacturer recomendations however I know from searching previous laptop models on crucial site that they sometimes recomend higher than the manufacturer does.
can anyone shed any light? can't believe how difficult it's been to find an answer to what should be such an easy question.
thanks

The book says
Two memory module slots (Ryzen, A9 processors):
Memory is non-customer accessible/non-upgradeable
DDR4-2400 dual channel support (Ryzen processors)
DDR4-1866 dual channel support (A9 processors)
Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM in the following configurations:
● 16384 MB (8192 MB×2)
● 12288 MB (8192 MB×1 + 4096 MB×1)
● 8192 MB (8192 MB×1 + 4096×2)
● 4096 MB (4096 MB×1)
That machine uses AMD Ryzen™ 3 2200U (2.5 GHz base frequency, up to 3.4 GHz burst frequency, 1 MB cache, 2 cores) that means it supports 16GB.
But as from your note, Crucial says it supports 32GB, that is true. In many cases , for DDR4 RAM, users can upgrade up to 32GB on newer machines.
Regards.
