An update that appears and disappears showed in my Windows Update from time to time, has ended up blocking it. This is “Hewlett-Packard - USB - 10/2/2017 12:00:00 AM - 44.1.2402.1741” It can`t be downloaded, neither be removed. How can I remove it so I can unlock my Windows Update?

Hi:
I recommend that you run the Hide Windows Update Utility that I zipped up and attached below to prevent that update from showing up and trying to install.
Download, unzip and run the utility.
It will find the update. Check the box to hide the update.
If for some reason you ever want to run the update again run the Hide Windows update utility and uncheck the box to hide the update.
You will have to restart the PC to have the update not show up.
That is the only way to solve the problem.

It's not a virus!!!
I use it all the time.
Microsoft no longer offers the utility on their website, so if you don't trust me who has almost 12 years of helping others on this forum you can download it from many 3rd party websites by searching 'Hide Windows Update Utility.'
This person used my zip file yesterday and marked my reply as the solution since it is the solution!
