Hi Team,

 

I have HP Pavilion g6-2206tx Notebook PC laptop. I want to know if my laptop support M.2 SSD upgrade as I don't want to use SATA. 

 

If M.2 slot is present, what capacity and type of SSD I can install?

Hi, @Pardeep68 

 

Your notebook does not have a M.2 slot for a SSD.

 

Your only option to upgrade to a SSD would be to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

 

I recommend one of the Crucial MX500 2.5" SSD's in a storage capacity that meets your needs and budget.

 

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
