Hello, I've been experiencing very high temps on my CPU and GPU around 90'ish on a omen 15 dc0015np (which I have for about 3 years or something), which has a i7-8750h and a gtx 1060. Is this normal? I have read that I can undervolt but my knowledge is short and I wouldn't like to risk it. So my question is, is this standard or should I do something like a hardware test or something and see if everything is alright? I mostly use it with skype on, the antivirus and razer synapse. I found it strange when I searched for this CPU and it said it went very well on gaming and I'm not experiencing it. I also have connected to a HP Omen Z7Y57AA and I adapted my GPU for that 144hz.
I think I've explained myself pretty well, if not , do ask me!
Best regards,
youthmp

Hello Youthmp,
due to permanent and high temperatures, the thermal paste on the components (CPU, GPU, bridges ...) solidifies. Therefore, it will be very difficult to solve the problem without service repair. The device should be cleaned inside from dust and dirt, fans should be checked for function and of course the thermal paste must be renewed.
Here you can find your Software and Drivers for your notebook:
First of all I would do a bios update:
Then test your notebook:
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI
If you are brave, do it ...

Quote: " ... The biggest improvement is that your OMEN will no longer thermal throttle. I have noticed a 20-40fps improvement in all of the games I play ..."
But be careful, because it is a very expensive device. If you are unsure, have it done by a notebook repair store.
Good luck and reports your results.
best regards
