Hi, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

Happened to my laptop too, and as I can see, to many other hp laptops.

Finally the repairs department got back to me with a quote of £177 (after a 30% discount) for a fault that is clearly in the design!!! The laptop has been opened and the hinge build is a joke - not strong enough for a 17" screen.

I suggest hp fix all these laptops for free to improve this awful customer service. Or, just build the laptops to last more then a year without the hinge breaking.
