pavilion x360

Poor hinge design causing case to crack. I had this laptop repaired 6 months ago because the hinge froze up causing a crack to develop on the left side of the top case. Sure glad I had the extended warranty. Now the right side has the same issue.  It is obvious that HP has known for sometime that they have a hinge problem and has done nothing to correct the problem. I really like the x360 but !!!!!

I am shocked by the way HP handled this issue.  They offered to fix it for $300!??!  Or course I would need to send my computer out for at least a week.  There was no mention of shipping costs.  I followed up explaining that this is an obvious problem they are aware of and should take responsibility.  Response was out of warranty.  Terrible!  Nice way to increase you extended warranty plan sales.   Haven't heard from them since.
